Hello there! I am
Aliza Leah
New York City
I specialize in cinematography with a foundation in cognitive film theory. My work explores how framing, movement, and visual rhythm influence perception, crafting imagery that is immersive and emotionally driven. This perspective shapes how I approach brand work, creative production, photography, and videography, where each visual decision is guided by intention, and how audiences interpret and connect with what they see.
About Me
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago, where I studied psychological cinematography with a focus on how visual storytelling influences emotion, perception, and behavior. Since graduating, I have continued to build my career in photography and videography while expanding into media strategy and coordination. I’m deeply passionate about creating media that resonates emotionally, using intentional visuals, pacing, and narrative to connect with audiences.
I am now pursuing a master’s in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch, where I’ll further deepen my understanding of film theory, visual culture, and the power of storytelling.
I have worked as a Media Services Coordinator, partnering with brands across the Chicago area to plan, produce, and execute cohesive content strategies that are not only visually compelling but psychologically engaging.
